Terms & Conditions

Last updated 24 August 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Soreon, including the website, the interviewer console, and related services (together, the “Service”), operated by Soreon (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.

2. The Service

Soreon is a real-time AI copilot that assists human interviewers during interviews. It analyzes the conversation, tracks coverage against a role rubric, privately suggests evidence-linked follow-up questions, and generates an editable post-interview scorecard.

Soreon is designed to augment, not replace, human judgement. It surfaces evidence and uncertainty; it does not make hiring decisions. Every conclusion is intended to link back to a moment in the interview so a person can review it. You remain solely responsible for all hiring decisions.

3. Accounts and access

Access to the console is granted to approved users within an organization. Sign-in is handled through your Google account, and new accounts require approval by an administrator before the console opens. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs under it.

You must provide accurate information and use the Service only within the scope of the access granted to your role. Access may be suspended or revoked for misuse.

4. Interviews, recordings, and candidate data

The Service joins video meetings to capture a transcript of the interview and processes that transcript to produce suggestions and scorecards. When you use the Service to record or transcribe an interview, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to do so and for informing and obtaining any consent required from candidates and other participants under applicable law. How we handle this data, and the roles each of us plays under data-protection law, are described in our Privacy Policy.

You must not use the Service to make, or to primarily rely on it to make, fully automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about a candidate without meaningful human review. This reflects the right of individuals under Article 22 of the GDPR not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing: a person must review the evidence and make the decision, and candidates must be able to obtain human intervention where required.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not attempt to access it without authorization, interfere with its operation, reverse engineer it except where permitted by law, or use it to infringe the rights of others or to process data unlawfully.

You will not use the Service to attempt emotion, deception, or personality inference from a candidate’s face or voice; Soreon is not designed or licensed for those purposes, and such inference in the workplace is prohibited under the EU AI Act.

6. AI-generated output

Suggestions, competency signals, and scorecards are generated by AI models and may be incomplete or incorrect. They are provided as decision support only. You should review the underlying evidence and apply your own judgement before acting on any output. We do not warrant that AI output is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.

7. EU AI Act and human oversight

Soreon is used to evaluate candidates in a recruitment and selection context, which the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (the “AI Act”) treats as a high-risk use of AI. We design and operate the Service to meet the AI Act’s expectations for such systems - human oversight, transparency, activity logging, and output that links back to evidence in the interview. Where the Service constitutes a high-risk AI system, we act as its provider and you (or your organization) act as its deployer, and each of us is responsible for the obligations the AI Act places on that role.

As the deployer, you are responsible for informing candidates that AI is used to assist the interview and their evaluation, for maintaining meaningful human oversight, and for any assessment your own obligations require before you rely on the Service. You will not use the Service in any way the AI Act prohibits, including the emotion, deception, or personality inference described in section 5. Human interviewers remain in control of, and responsible for, every hiring decision (see sections 2 and 4).

8. Privacy and cookies

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. The marketing website uses only essential cookies needed to operate the site and to sign you in; it does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can accept or decline the cookie notice shown on the site, and your choice is stored locally in your browser.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding. You retain your rights in the content and data you provide, and you grant us the rights necessary to operate and provide the Service to you.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Governing law

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the Service, are governed by the laws of [governing-law jurisdiction], without prejudice to any mandatory consumer- or data-protection rights you have under the laws of the country where you live or work. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited by agreement, including your rights under the GDPR and the AI Act.

12. Changes and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
